Pediatric Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) Diagnosis & Management: Challenges, Barriers, Strategies
Despite its rarity, hereditary angioedema has a profound impact on the lives of many patients. As healthcare providers, the ability to recognize and diagnose HAE early, especially in pediatric patients, can make all the difference in improving patient outcomes and quality of life. However, the challenges of diagnosing HAE, particularly in minority and rural populations, remain significant. PIDD Disparities Miniseries
Patients with Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (PIDD) are not only susceptible to infection, but they are also at risk for other, non-infectious, complications. Disparities in Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps Miniseries
CRSwNP has a significant negative impact on patients’ quality of life, affecting work productivity and sleep, and leading to social and emotional consequences, as well increased economic burden. For underserved populations there is a significant impact on morbidity as well. Minority and low-income groups are less likely to receive proper treatment.
