This online Practice Improvement course for Atopic Dermatitis (AD) is designed to help practicing allergist/immunologists improve the quality of care for their patients with atopic dermatitis. This course fulfills the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) Quality Improvement requirement and will grant part IV Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credit.
First, the course will have practitioners assess how their current care for AD aligns with evidence-based measures of quality at baseline. The practitioner will enter data from at least 25 previous visits from AD patients. Then, areas of strength and opportunities for improvement will be identified and educational resources and tools will be provided to the practitioner to develop and implement a quality improvement plan which can impact patient care and outcomes. The practitioner will determine the success of their quality improvement plan by reassessing their practice through a second measurement cycle by assessing 25 more AD patient visits.
NOTE: The implementation phase requires 30 days to complete
After completion of this course, the practitioner will complete a post-course survey and successful completion of the module will be communicated to the ABAI for MOC part IV credit.
