Marijuana Use & Asthma: Risks and Considerations (AAN)
Price: FREE for members and non-members
Session recorded on January 30, 2025
Speaker: Anil Nanda, MD, FACAAI
As cannabis use becomes legal in more states, many people are seeking it out for medical and recreational use. Despite the increasing prevalence of cannabis use, there is limited understanding among healthcare providers about its impact on asthma and respiratory health, leading to gaps in patient education and management. Dr. Nanda will explain the effects of cannabis smoking on asthma management, discuss asthma management plans to include cannabis-related risk assessments, and share ways to counsel patients about the risks.
This program is a collaboration between the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Allergy and Asthma Network (AAN).
