Asthma & Pregnancy: Special Considerations for Expectant Mothers (AAN)
Price: FREE for members and non-members
Session recorded on July 17, 2025
Speaker: Karla Adams, MD, FACAAI
Despite clear guidelines, many healthcare providers lack confidence or up-to-date knowledge in managing asthma during pregnancy. Gaps persist in recognizing its impact on maternal and fetal outcomes, counseling patients on trigger avoidance and medication safety, and applying evidence-based treatment strategies. This activity addresses these shortfalls by enhancing provider competence in clinical assessment, patient education, and appropriate therapeutic decision-making throughout pregnancy.
This program is a collaboration between the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Allergy and Asthma Network (AAN).
