RSV: Prevention & Treatment for At-Risk Populations (AAN)
This activity addresses gaps in clinician knowledge and practice related to identifying populations at highest risk for severe RSV, recognizing disparities in RSV burden among Latino and African American communities, and applying current evidence-based prevention strategies. Many clinicians remain unfamiliar with updated guidance on maternal RSV vaccination, infant monoclonal antibody use, and adult RSV immunization, as well as when to refer infants and older adults for emergency care. The activity also highlights missed opportunities for prevention and early intervention that contribute to avoidable RSV-related morbidity and hospitalization.
This program is a collaboration between the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Allergy and Asthma Network (AAN).
