COLA: Abbas, Ch. 1 Properties and Overview of the Immune System
Session recorded on Dec 3, 2018.
Speaker: Nikita Raje, MD
Immunologic basis underlies several different disease mechanisms including allergies, asthma, and immunodeficiencies. Other organ systems can be affected by multiple disorders that have underlying immunological defect. With the rapidly expanding field of immunodeficiencies and scientific advances in immunological techniques/tests, it is hard to keep up with the progressing knowledge. Without this knowledge, it would be difficult for the physicians to understand human disease, use improved immunological technologies for diagnostic work up, and offer newer therapies.
This video covers Abbas, Chapter 1.
