Despite much innovation in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, significant disparities in asthma prevalence and outcomes exist across racial and ethnic groups in the United States. Allergists need to understand the current asthma-related health disparities landscape, the underlying structural drivers, and the individual and system level interventions needed to close health disparity gap.
