Physicians will acquire a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of current food allergy diagnostic modalities as well as novel diagnostic methods currently under active study. They will respect the different types of food immunotherapy currently under investigation, with a focus on OIT. There will be a review of the history of OIT and examine the current evidence supporting OITs use. In doing so participants will be able to recognize the risks and limitations associated with OIT, identify which patients might benefit from this therapy, and have a clearer understanding of how OIT fits in a busy clinical practice
